Barbara Redmond-Engel was born on March 14, 1953 in Cleveland - Ohio (USA). She joined General Electric in August 1998, first as the Chief Financial Officer France and then as an Internal Audit Manager for GE Frankona. Before she took on the role of Head of Internal Audit for GE Factofrance in September 2004, she had been the Head of internal audit at GE EEF during the 4 previous years.
Barbara received a Bachelor's degree of Business Administration from California State University (1982) and is a CPA in the State of California (1986). She started working for Arthur Andersen (1982-1985) in the USA where she worked as a tax accountant, before joining KPMG in France (1985-1993) .
Deciding to pursue her career in France, she worked as a project manager specialized in accountancy software, and subsequently as a Financial controller in AlliedSignal/Honeywell.
